The harsh realities of life would sometimes take their toll on us and that was what happened to Ben and this little place was where he could get away from it all. Although Landover seemed much much smaller than the Four Lands of Shannara, Terry Brooks is still able to keep us at the tips end and our imaginations bounding.
Well after reading the first book, I came to the impression that Terry seemed like the alternate self of Ben Holiday. Things that he though might have happened if he continued to practice Law, things that would happen if his wife was not by his side supporting him and what would the wold be like if he gets the chance of running away from it. All the more suspicious is that at the Time of writing, Ben is almost the same age as teery would be as he wrote the book!
