Ben Holiday Ben Holiday, a successful lawyer turned King of Landover. He was almost 40 when he purchased the "deed" to Landover and it was him that finally transformed Landover back to its former glory. Although many doubted him in the beginning, Questor was the first to have hopes that this man would be the right one for the throne to Landover. Unlike the pervious "play-kings", Ben was the only one that was able to discover how to use the Medallion and summon the Paladin in his time of need. This helped him over come the Demons and other dangerous throughout the series. But even without the magic of the Paladin protecting him, he has always proven to be resourceful and determined of his goals and his responsibilities, something that his lawyer training has given him. Like in the front page of this section, after reading the first Landover book, I saw a change in the writing style which it focused very much on only one character which is Ben and after checking back the publishing dates and Terry's background, it seemed strange that these two made a perfect match! More so that Ben would be Terry alternate ego and his escape to fantasy. |
